William Ruto has reiterated his administration’s commitment to equitable development, stating that no region of Kenya will be left behind in the distribution of national resources and government projects.

Speaking during a public address, the president said the government is prioritising balanced growth to ensure all parts of the country benefit from ongoing economic and infrastructure programmes. He emphasised that development planning will focus on addressing historical disparities between regions.

Ruto noted that investments in roads, healthcare, education, and agriculture are being expanded to reach underserved areas. He said the government is working to improve access to essential services, particularly in regions that have faced challenges in infrastructure and public service delivery.

The president also highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting local economies, including programmes targeting small-scale farmers and businesses. He stated that strengthening these sectors is key to improving livelihoods and reducing regional inequalities.

Government officials say the approach aligns with broader national development strategies designed to promote inclusive growth. By distributing resources more evenly, authorities aim to enhance economic participation and reduce disparities in income and opportunity.

Ruto’s remarks come amid continued public discussion over the allocation of national funds and the prioritisation of development projects. Some stakeholders have called for greater transparency in how resources are distributed across counties.

The administration has maintained that project selection is guided by data and national planning frameworks to ensure fairness and efficiency. Officials say monitoring mechanisms are being strengthened to track progress and ensure accountability in implementation.

Analysts note that inclusive development remains a central issue in Kenya’s policy agenda, particularly as the government seeks to address regional imbalances while managing fiscal constraints. The effectiveness of these efforts will depend on sustained investment and coordination between national and county governments.

Further updates on project rollouts and funding allocations are expected as the government continues to implement its development programmes across the country.
