Jubilee presidential candidate Fred Matiang’i has launched a scathing assault on what he describes as the huge wastage of public funds, particularly focusing on the ballooning funds for State Home.
Matiang’i characterised these monetary allocations as clear proof of the federal government’s flawed priorities.
“We are suffering from historic wastage of public resources, unprecedented. I have never seen things like this we are seeing. They say this year’s budget allocates Ksh. 17 billion to State House,” he stated.
Whereas attending a church service in Murang’a County, Matiang’i challenged the logic that the presidency receives much more funding than very important nationwide amenities such because the Moi Instructing and Referral Hospital (MTRH).
“I am asking myself this: How can the State House need more money than Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital?
